JESUS IS COMING BACK SOON
Much have been written about Jesus return
to this earth.
I have covered parts of this topic in the end times
and prophecy link.
Yesterday I felt lead to make a link
with the headline about the Lord Jesus
coming back . His return is our only hope for the future.
There is no future on this current earth.
It is our temporary home and will be destroyed.
We have a choice between Heaven or hell
as our final destination or dwelling place depending on
what you believe.
"He (Jesus) said to them, 'It is not for you
to know times or epochs which the Father
has fixed by His own authority; but you shall receive
power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;
and you shall be My witnesses
both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,
and even to the remotest part of the earth.'
And after He had said these things, He was lifted up
while they were looking on,
and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
And as they were gazing intently into the sky
while He was departing, behold, two men
in white clothing stood beside them;
and they also said, 'Men of Galile,
why do you stand looking into the sky?
This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven
will come in the same way
as you have watched Him go into heaven."
Acts 1:7-11
Two angels appeared to the apostles and told them
about the return of Christ. He will come back in
the air in the clouds in like manner as He departed from
the earth back then. The exact day and date we are
not to know. But in Matthew chapter 24 Jesus
answered the question as to what it will be like
at the time of His return. Jesus said it will be like in
the days of Noah. It is like that and worse today
April 25, 2009.
If you don't believe in angels I suggest you read
Hebrew 13:2.
According to God's word in the Bible angels have the
ability to appear as men. They are messengers of God
to the people on earth. Angels are powerful and not like
the deception which has made them out to be
cute child like smiley humans with bow and arrow.
If you don't believe me check Genesis and
read about the angels the Lord put there
to keep Adam and Eve out after they sinned
and was separated from God Jesus.
So who will go to heaven?
"Jesus said; 'For this is the will of my Father
that everyone who beholds the Son (Jesus) and
believes in Him, may have eternal life,
and I myself will raise him up on the last day."
John 6:40
"But we do not want you to be
uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep
(a term for dead people), that you may not grieve,
as do the rest who has no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died
and rose again,
even so God will bring with Him
those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord,
that we who are alive, and remain until the coming
of the Lord, shall not
precede those who have fallen asleep.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven
with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel,
and with the trumpet of God
and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them
in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air,
and thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one another with these words."
