TRUST IN GOD JESUS AND NOT IN MONEY What or whom do you put your trust in? I suggest you read Matthew 6:19-34 Trust in God and not money and stuff! 1.Timothy chapter six has a hint for you as how to deal with money. Paul asked the Lord to not make him rich so he would not need the Lord not to make him poor so he would have to steal rather make him content with little so he would depend on God daily! Personally I have nothing to loose because all I have belongs to the Lord. Are you among those who have seen your money dwindle away in the market? "COME now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you. Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten. Your gold and silver have rusted; and their rust will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days that you have stored up your treasure! Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of the Sabaoth. You have lived luxuriously on the earth and led a life of wanton pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. You have condemned and put death the righteous man; he does not resist you. James 5:1-6 "For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" Matthew 16:26 Rich Young Ruler "And behold, one came to Him(Jesus) and said. ' Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life?' And He(Jesus) said to him, ' Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One(Jesus) who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.' He said to Him(Jesus), ' Which ones? And Jesus said, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER; YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY; YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS; HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER; and YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' The young man said to Him. 'All these things I have kept; what am I still lacking?' Jesus said to him, 'If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possession and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come follow Me.' But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieved; for he was one who owned much property. And Jesus said to His disciples, 'Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.' And when the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, 'Then who can be saved?' And looking upon them Jesus said to them, 'With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.' Then Peter answered and said to Him, 'Behold we have left everything and followed You; what then will there be for us?' And Jesus said to them, 'Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man(Jesus) will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms for My name's sake, shall receive many times as much, and shall inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last; and the last, first." Matthew 19:16-30 THINGS OF THE WORLD WILL FADE AWAY If you put your trust in things you will be disappointed. "Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. And the world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God abides forever." 1.John 2:15-17
