AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST
"Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature;
the old things passed away; behold new things have come.
Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us
to Himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,
namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself,
not counting their trespasses against them,
and He has committed to us
the word of reconciliation.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ."
2.Corinthians 5:17-20
POWER BY THE HOLY SPIRIT
"You shall receive power when the Holy spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,
and even to the remotest part of the earth."
Acts 1:8
PREACH THE GOSPEL
"For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel...
For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
1.Corinthians 1:17-18
SALVATION FROM GOD'S WRATH
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then,
having now been justified by His blood,
we shall be saved
from the wrath of God through Him.
For if while we were enemies,
we were reconciled to God
through the death of His Son,
much more having been reconciled,
we shall be saved by His life.
And not only this, but we also exalt in God
through our Lord Jesus Christ
through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world,
and death through sin,
and so death spread to all men,
because all sinned - for until the law sin was in the world;
but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses,
even over those who had not sinned
in the likeness of the offense of Adam,
who is a type of Him who was to come.
But the free gift is not like the transgression.
For if by the transgression of the one the many died,
much more did the grace of God
and the gift by the grace of the one Man,
Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
And the gift is not like that which came through
the one who sinned;
for on the one hand the judgment arose
from one transgression
resulting in justification.
For if the transgression of the one,
death reigned through the one,
much more those who receive
the abundance of grace
and of the gift of righteousness
will reign in life through the One,
Jesus Christ.
So then, as through one transgression
there resulted condemnation to all men,
even so through one act of righteousness
there resulted justification of life to all men.
For as through the one man's disobedience
the many were made sinners,
even so through the obedience of the One
the many will be made righteous.
And the law came in that the transgression might increase;
but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,
that as sin reigned in death,
even so grace might reign through righteousness
to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 5:8-21
CHRIST IS THE THEME OF MINISTRY
"Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy,
we do not lose heart, but we have renounced the things hidden
because of shame,
not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God,
but by the manifestation of truth
commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
And even if our gospel is veiled,
it is veiled to those who are perishing,
in whose case the god of this world
has blinded the minds of the unbelieving,
that they might not see the light of
the gospel of the glory of Christ,
who is the image of God.
For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord,
and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus' sake.
For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness,"
is the One who has shone in our hearts
to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God
in the face of Christ.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels,
that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God
and not from ourselves."
2.Corinthians 4:1-7
A BOND-SERVANT OF CHRIST
"If I were still trying to please men,
I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
For I would have you know, brethren,
that the gospel which was preached by me
is not according to man.
For I neither received it from man,
nor was I taught it,
but I received it through revelation of Jesus Christ."
Galatians 1:10-12
GENTLE SERVANT
"And the Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome,
but kind to all, able to reach, patient when wronged,
with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition,
if perhaps God may grant them repentance
leading to the knowledge of the truth,
and they may come to their senses
and escape from the snare of the devil,
having been held captive by him to do his will.
To sum up, let al be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly,
kindhearted, and humble in spirit;
not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult,
but giving a blessing instead;
for you were called for the very purpose
that you might inherit a blessing."
2.Timothy 2;24-26 & 1.Peter 3:8-9
DO NOT FEAR THEIR INTIMIDATION
"And who is there to harm you
if you prove zealous for what is good?
But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness,
you are blessed.
AND DO NOT FEAR THEIR INTIMIDATION,
AND DO NOT BE TROUBLED,
but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts,
always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you
to give an account for the hope that is in you,
yet with gentleness and reverence;
and keep a good conscience
so that in the thing in which you are slandered,
those who revile your good behavior in Christ
may be put to shame.
For it is better, if God should will it so,
that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing wrong.
"I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,"
so that we confidently say,
"THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.
WHAT SHALL MAN DO TO ME?"
1.Peter 3:13-17 & Hebrews 13:5
"THE LORD IS MY LIGHT AND MY SALVATION;
WHOM SHALL I FEAR?"
"The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?
When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh,
My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.
Though a host encamp against me, My heart will not fear;
Though war arise against me, In spite of this I shall be confident.
Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for the Lord."
Psalm 27:1-3,14
DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD
"I urge you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God,
to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice,
acceptable to god, which is your spiritual service of worship.
And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what the will of God is,
that which is good and acceptable and perfect."
Romans 12:1-2
JESUS SAVES
"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
And they said,
"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved."
Acts 16:30-31
THE ARMOR OF GOD
"Finally, be strong in the Lord,
and in the strength of His might.
Put on the full armor of God,
that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the powers,
against the world forces of this darkness,
against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore, take up the full armor of God, t
hat you may be able to resist in the evil day,
and having done everything, to stand firm.
Stand firm therefore,
HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH,
and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,
and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF
THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;
in addition to all, taking up THE SHIELD OF FAITH
with which you will be able to
extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one.
And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION,
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
Ephesians 6:10-17
PRAY FOR BOLDNESS
"
With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit,
and with this in view,
be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,
and pray on my behalf,
that the utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth,
to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
for which I am an ambassador in chains,
that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak."
"Grace be with all those who love
our Lord Jesus Christ with a love incorruptible."
Ephesians 6:18-20,24
